Capturing Memories

Composing personal memoirs and family histories is rapidly gaining a resurgence. The "baby boomers," those people born between 1946 and 1964, are now reaching their late middle-age years. They are becoming grandparents and beginning to review their own lives. The parents of the "baby boomers" are the elders of this generation. These elders have lived full and wonderfully interesting lives. Just think of the history this generation of elders has experienced:

  • Two world wars
  • The Great Depression
  • Great strides in technological advancement (from horse and buggy to the space age)

The urge is strong to record our stories and pass them down to our descendents.

If you are recording your personal memoirs or family history, Capturing Memories can help.

  • We can work as consultants to help your community, organization, or family conduct a Memory Book Project.
  • Capturing Memories workshops will inspire you to start or continue your writing project.
  • Memory Kindling Publications provide ideas and exercises to "jump start" your writing.
